Reflection and Vision What will the 2021-22 school year look like?
Our plans are to operate the coming school year as normal as possible.
We plan to allow all of our fans to attend our home volleyball and basketball games.
We are going to add our field trips and class trips back to the calendar.
Our 6th graders will make their trip to Tybee Island, 7th grade will go to Charleston, 8th and 9th grade will go to Washington D.C. in April, and we are going to add a 10th grade trip to Washington D.C. in February.
We are adding the 9th and 10th grade to the Washington D.C. trip so that they can make up for the trips they missed the past two years.
We plan to move all lunches back into the cafeteria.
All grade levels will attend chapel sessions as they have in previous years as well.
God has been gracious and merciful to Curtis this school year without any major issues, and we look forward to being able to have a great school year next year.
We will also be sending out one more survey to our parents, students, and faculty during the 4th quarter. Please take the time to fill those out so that we can review how we are doing and where we can make improvements. Responses are also important for our ACSI accreditation team to review them as well. The ACSI accreditation team will be here towards the end of October.
Lastly, you will want to add Curtis night at SRP Park (Augusta Greenjackets) on Friday, August 27th. Tickets will go on sale at the end of this school year.
As always, we thank you for your support and partnership with Curtis Baptist School.

Middle and High School News
It is great to know that we have completed the Terra Nova testing, our seniors have enjoyed spending time together during their senior trip, and our Silent Auction was fantastic. It is also great to see the number of Middle and High School students who made the Honor Roll for the third quarter.
Congratulations to our newly inducted Beta Club members pictured on Thursday, March 25, the day of the Beta Club Induction.
Now it is time to step back, relax and enjoy Spring Break with family and friends. I hope the break will allow our families and staff the opportunity to re-charge and return ready to finish the year successfully.
Mr. Larry Ford, Middle and High School Principal
Elementary School News
Dear CBS Elementary Families, I hope that you enjoyed Easter and Spring Break time with your loved ones. We are well into the last 9 weeks of the school year, can you believe it? Our next D.E.A.R Day will be on April 23rd. Please be on the lookout for information regarding K5 graduation and Elementary School awards day. I look forward to seeing the students return from break. Thank you for your continued support of Curtis Baptist School. - Mrs. Lisa Ingle, Elementary School Principal
Daycare & Preschool News
April has brought us more sunny days, which means more time outside! We are wrapping up Easter celebrations. Our students have been spending the last few weeks learning the Easter story and digging deeper into the meaning of Christ’s death and resurrection. Our students have been able to see how that applies to their lives and hearts. We pray it plants a seed in each heart. Teachers are finishing out the curriculum for the rest of the school year to finish strong.
Enrollment has continued the last few weeks. We are excited for new families to join us in August! Ms. Meagan has been gearing up for our elementary summer camp and finalizing plans. We are grateful for a few new staff members that have joined our daycare family this month. We are always grateful for support and your encouragement!
- Mrs. Kellie Nieves, Daycare and Preschool Director
We are almost done with another school year!! I cannot believe we are almost to summer!! I am so proud of each of you for making it through testing week!! I pray you all have a restful spring break and come back ready to finish the year strong!

From Mr. Scott Phillips, Athletic Director
Our MS Boys baseball season is in full swing (no pun intended). Our boys are learning and playing hard and doing a great job of representing Christ and the school.
We may have some summer sports camps to offer. As we work to put those camps together, we will send out a communication to everyone with the dates and complete information.

Crusader Club News
The Crusader Club meets each month to prepare for the concession stand at Cheeks, various school-wide fundraisers (Coupon Book or Catalog, Christmas Shop), and the Sports Banquet to end the year. We have a lot of fun working together serving our school and families in so many different ways. If you would like to be a part of the planning and preparation, we welcome you to attend our next meeting on Monday, April 19 at 6 pm in Cafe 180.
Due to the pandemic, we were unable to host the in person Silent Auction and Dinner like we have enjoyed in the past. Instead, we hosted a series of virtual auctions and a drive through dinner. Many local companies and individuals donated items to make the auction possible. The bidding was fun and at times intense. One hundred and ninety-one steaks along with sides and desert were prepared and handed out during our drive through dinner. Special thanks to those who helped prepare and serve the meals. It was great to see families even if only for a few minutes as they drove through.
To close out this year's Silent Auction, our next fundraiser will be a raffle for a gas powered E-Z-Go golf cart. The cart will be displayed outside the school in the coming weeks. Raffle tickets will go on sale in the Elementary Office starting Friday, April 16, 1 entry for $20, 3 entries for $50. The drawing for the winner will be May 25, the last day of school. What a great way to roll into summer with a new golf cart for your family. Thank you again for supporting our school with these fundraisers. The money raised will be used to further develop our school.
