CEI holds CNC meeting in Brussels with European Commission and Parliament 
The gathering on 15 May was attended by representatives of the Permanent Representations of the CEI Member States to the EU as well as of the European Commission and the European Parliament. It served as a platform to explore possibilities for political and project cooperation with the EU institutions.  read more
CEI opens Representation Office in Brussels 
On 14 May, CEI SG Roberto Antonione opened a CEI Representation Office hosted by the Liaison Office of the Autonomous Region Friuli Venezia Giulia in Brussels.

SG Antonione in Albania for strengthening relations and cooperation
The mission on 6 May served to present the new leadership of the CEI-ES and to listen to the Albanian priorities with regard to the future actions of the Organisation. The final aim is to enhance relations with Albania, in the framework of an overall goal of the CEI-ES to strengthen direct cooperation and communication at all levels with Member States. read more
CEI and AII join efforts for benefit of region: MoU signed in Budva
The agreement, signed on 3 May, aims at enhancing know-how exchange and best practices between EU and non-EU countries in the area of judicial cooperation and capacity building, raising awareness on topics such as human rights, rehabilitation and social reintegration. read more
CEI-ES and Ministry of Justice sign MoU in Trieste
On 8 May, CEI SG Roberto Antonione and Adriatic and Ionian Initiative SG Giovanni Castellaneta signed a Memorandum of Understanding for a joint preparation and implementation of activities. Areas of cooperation: Blue Growth, connectivity, environmental protection, sustainable tourism, research and innovation systems, culture and education. read more

Prominent curators and experts from various CEI countries presented, on 9 May, their concepts, activities and proposals in view of creating a preview-map of what will be of relevance in the context of contemporary debate in the arts in 2019-2020.  read more

The three-day workshop on 17-18 April aimed at providing opportunities to meet and exchange information and best practices, facilitating better understanding of the size, dynamics and effects of the labour migration of parents in the region.

The first of three Balkan Science Journalism workshops was held on 5 April and aimed at enhancing science journalism capacity and skills as well as promoting excellence in science, health and environmental coverage in Central and Eastern Europe. read more
4helix+: final Blue BootCamp and Transnational Brokerage Event in Zadar 
On 9-10 April, the bootcamp aimed at matching Knowledge Providers and local SMEs from blue sectors to exchange views - through B2B meetings during the transnational brokerage event - on solving small-scale innovation problems and elaboration of innovative projects. read more
CONNECT2CE: dissemination event at CEI HQ on experimental cross-border integrated ticket Trieste - Ljubljana 
Thanks to the collaboration of the two operators - Trieste Trasporti and Slovenske Železnice (Slovenian Railways) - citizens can buy their integrated ticket online at an economical rate and travel between the two cities without interruption using the railway station of Villa Opicina as an interchange hub between the two means of transport. read more
