Italian CEI Presidency 2019: first CEI Committee of National Coordinators in Rome 
The Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Enzo Moavero Milanesi, opened the first Committee of National Coordinators meeting, held in Rome on 22 February, and singled out the priorities of the Italian CEI Presidency. read more
CEI Secretary General visits Macedonia, Bulgaria and Serbia
A delegation of the CEI-Executive Secretariat, led by SG Roberto Antonione, visited Macedonia, Bulgaria and Serbia on 5-7 February to obtain inputs, in particular on persisting challenges, in order to identify further steps for their better tackling. read more
Western Balkans Fund visits CEI Secretariat
A delegation of the Western Balkans Fund composed of the Executive Director, Dr. Gjergj Murra the Senior Official from the MFA of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milos Prica, and the Programme Manager, Dafina Beqiri visited the CEI Executive Secretariat to explore possibilities for synergies and cooperation. read more
CEI Secretary General visits Slovenia
On 19 February, CEI Secretary General and his delegation met with the Foreign Minister Miro Cerar and with other representatives discussing the future strategic direction of the CEI and further possibilities for enhancing cooperation.  read more
General Committee on Political and Home Affairs of CEI PD meets in Sofia
The meeting, held on 11-12 February in Sofia, focused on the European perspective of the Western Balkans region, analysing synergies and perspectives of the integration processes.  read more
ADRIPASS Project mentioned as a best example funded by ADRION Programme 
The Adripass EU Project (Integrating multimodal connections in the Adriatic-Ionian region), coordinated by the CEI Secretariat as lead partner, has been mentioned as a best example in the second Report on the implementation of EU macro-regional strategies - of the European Commission. read more
CONNECT2CE Project: Trieste Trasporti and Slovenske Železnice agreement  
In the framework of the CONNECT2CE project, coordinated by the CEI Secretariat as lead partner, Trieste Trasporti and Slovenske Železnice signed the agreement for the launch of a new cross-border integrated public transport service (bus/train) between Trieste and Ljubljana. read more

Founded in 1989, the CEI is a regional intergovernmental forum committed to supporting European integration through cooperation among its Member States. It combines multilateral diplomacy and project management, both as donor and recipient, while bridging European macro-regions.
