CEC Parker Campus Events
We hope that you and your family are enjoying a safe and happy winter break. While the holidays are often a great opportunity to be with friends and family, we know that they can also be stressful. Although some people look forward to having a break, others struggle with a lack of structure, and while some people look forward to opportunities "to let loose", others may struggle with maintaining their recovery or with pressure from peers. It is always a good idea to be mindful of ourselves, our students, family and friends during the holidays and the extended break from school. If you are concerned that your student may be experiencing changes in their mood or experiencing suicidal behaviors or thoughts, please remember to:
  • Stay with the student until you are sure they are safe.
  • If there is an immediate threat to your student or other students, call 911.
Here are some resources in our area: Here is a resource that is national: This is a great opportunity to remind everyone in our community that there is help within our school, locally and nationally for many different challenges whether it be suicide, depression or self-harm, anxiety, trauma or other mental health concerns, substance use and addiction, domestic violence or assault or social anxieties and concerns about fitting in. If you or someone you know needs help, please don't hesitate to reach out this holiday season, and let's make this a great new year.
