NATIONAL CHEMISTRY WEEK
October 16-22, Multiple Locations 
The BYU chapter of the American Chemical Society will dazzle you with their magical chemistry skills during National Chemistry Week. Several activities will be taking place during Chem Week, including Chemical Magic Shows. For more information, click here. Magic show tickets are free, but seating is limited and must be reserved here.

SECOND TERM ADD/DROP DEADLINE
Students who want to drop a second term class without a "W" need to do it by the end of the day, Wednesday, October 26th.

PHYSICS RESEARCH NIGHT

Come and learn about group research opportunities while enjoying free dessert, sponsored by the BYU chapter of the Society of Physics Students. 

SOUNDS TO ASTOUND SHOWS
October 28, 7pm; October 29, 2pm, 4pm, C215 ESC
Come learn why you hear what you hear at free shows presented by the BYU acoustics program. Acoustics students will present exciting demonstrations that explain the science behind sound. Attendees can also tour BYU's unique anechoic chamber before or after the shows. Tickets are free, but seating is limited and must be reserved here.

GSS HALLOWEEN PARTY

Celebrate Halloween with fellow graduate students, hosted by BYU's Graduate Student Society. 

ORCA GRANT DEADLINE
BYU's Office of Research & Creative Activities (ORCA) offers $1,500 grants to help undergraduate students work with faculty in a one-on-one mentoring setting. Submit proposals for the 2016-2017 academic year by Thursday, October 27 at 11:59pm.

LUMEN STEM FAIR
Lumen is a charter school looking for volunteers to present hands-on STEM activities for 7-12 graders or to mentor a student in a science project to be presented at the fair on Saturday, January 14, 2017. Click here for more information and to sign-up
