Welcome to our August Newsletter

Welcome to our latest e-newsletter, which this month takes on a Green Your Money theme as we explore the actions you can take to respond to the climate crisis in the lead up to the COP26 UN climate conference in November.

The earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it,

the world, and those who live in it. (Psalm 21: 4)

If we needed reminding of our interconnectedness, the latest IPCC report makes it clear that human-induced climate change is already affecting many weather and climate extremes in every region across the globe.’  We can’t look the other way. Urgent action is needed to protect those already in danger, and lay the foundations for a safer, more sustainable future for all of God’s creation.

Collectively, the money in our bank accounts and pensions is part of the solution. We can start to build the demand for a greener economy, and we can urge our churches, employers and elected representatives to act too.

Thank you to everyone who has already taken a step to green their finances. Not yet receiving the Green Your Money weekly emails? Sign up here – and please share the link with others.

Every blessing,

Rosie, Bryn, Cat & Sarah

Which step will you take?
  • Pension Pioneer: take a closer look at how your pension is invested. Engage with your provider and help create a greener future for everyone.
  • Sustainable Saver: think about where you bank. What do you know about your bank’s involvement with the fossil fuel industry?
  • Green Investor: whether you have £5 or £500, there are lots of ways to invest in clean energy or climate-friendly businesses.
  • Green Steward: could you help your church take a closer look at its finances? This step is all about taking action through your church.

Choose a step and sign up to hear more from us about the actions you can take. Join a community of Christians passionate about connecting our faith and our finances, as we care for our neighbours and our common home.
Take your step!
