Welcome to our August Newsletter

Welcome to our latest e-newsletter, which this month takes on a Green Your Money theme as we explore the actions you can take to respond to the climate crisis in the lead up to the COP26 UN climate conference in November.

The earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it,

the world, and those who live in it. (Psalm 21: 4)

If we needed reminding of our interconnectedness, the latest IPCC report makes it clear that ‘human-induced climate change is already affecting many weather and climate extremes in every region across the globe.’ We can’t look the other way. Urgent action is needed to protect those already in danger, and lay the foundations for a safer, more sustainable future for all of God’s creation.

Collectively, the money in our bank accounts and pensions is part of the solution. We can start to build the demand for a greener economy, and we can urge our churches, employers and elected representatives to act too.
