SHaRe the News! New Year 2017
Onward and Upward...

SHaRe now has nearly 12,000 de-identified patient and family records in our database. In 2016 we welcomed Cincinnati Children's Hospital and Royal Brompton Hospital in London to the SHaRe team. But, we're not stopping there. By continuing to grow through our partnerships with top research hospitals around the globe we gain more understanding about the many variables of inherited cardiomyopathy. We begin to see links and commonalities not seen before. With patients, cardiologists and geneticists all working together the Sarcomeric Human Cardiomyopathy Registry is advancing a better understanding of genetic heart disease.

Research in cardiomyopathy seems to be moving faster than it ever has before but what does all this mean for patients? We've added many new research articles to our "Current Research" page with easy to understand summaries as well as how the studies could impact patients and their care.
Have you attended one of our "Affairs of the Heart" Conferences? Well, you're in good company. In the past 3 years nearly 500 people have attended a SHaRe conference. In 2017 we're making a return to the University of Michigan in June and heading to Duke University in September. And even if you didn't make it to a conference you can watch all of our conference videos by location on our YouTube channel or check them out by topic on our "Videos and More" website page.
We'd love to hear from you. Would you like to share your story about living with heritable cardiomyopathy or read stories from other patients? Visit our "Read and Share Stories" website page.
Is there something else you wish we'd cover in our newsletter or on our website? Leave us a comment on our "Contact" page
