Last Weekend at GHC

It was a clean sweep last Saturday for four of our senior teams. The Ladies 1s, 4s and 5s all won their league matches.

For the Ladies' 1s it was an 11 goal thriller that ended 6-5 to GHC!

The Ladies 4s and 5s have clinched 1st and 2nd places in their South Div 10 league.

And the Men's 3s - having already earned the top league spot - had a 3-0 win over Addiscombe.

The icing on the cake was then on Sunday when the Ladies 1s beat East London at Lee Valley to progress to the England Hockey Tier 2 National Final!

Also on Sunday four of our Junior teams travelled to Canterbury for their annual South invitational. Our Girls Under 10 team - with no subs - retained their crown and came back home with the trophy and medals - well done!

Have a look at match reports below to see some of the details and photos!
This Weekend at GHC

We have only a handful of matches this weekend as the season winds down - Ladies 4s and 5s have their final matches.

And the Pilgrims still have a match or two to play in addition to hosting the Wessex Masters Finals Day in April.

On Sunday, the Under 18 Boys have their England Hockey Tier 1 National Semi-Final against Wakefield 12:30pm at GHC.

Best of luck to the team - many of whom have played together for 9 years - and to Coach Tylo!

See What's On below or on the GHC Website for Details.

AGM 2019 - Tue 14 May 7pm
Director of Hockey Announcement Next Week!

The Board have been working hard with input from across the club on updating the 3-5 year plan for the Club moving forward.

A 'stakeholders' meeting was held in January to gain support for the way forward proposal which includes a new Director of Hockey role for the Club.

There was very positive support for the proposal, and the Board are further planning for next season and beyond.

There will be some exciting news about next season coming soon. If you would like to see the presentation please ask your Captain or Squad Manager (all have received a copy) or email

Please consider taking on even a really small job to help out next season - if you aren't already. Many hands make light (and more fun) work. Get in touch with your Captain or Squad Manager or any of our Contacts in Who's Who

Watch out for more news as we plan next season and beyond. And please come to the Annual General Meeting:

Tuesday 14 May
GHC Clubhouse

More details coming soon.
