Summer Publications

Welcome

Dear Readers and Listeners! Welcome to June! It has been a crazy but fulfilling past couple months. I am happy to share with you some publications and thoughts as we come close to living a full year in France.

Ongoing Projects

-It's been a long time in the making-- but my short fiction anthology "The Inside Out Worlds: Visions of Strange" is available for digital purchase on Draft2Digital and Amazon! If you love some creepy science fiction and magical realism then my collection is definitely for you! Check it out, and if you want to share your thoughts, leave an honest review! Anthology on Amazon  Anthology on Other Platforms
The print edition is slated for release on June 20th.

- Every month I participate in the Spofest Open Mic Prose & Poetry Rough Draft event. It features poets and writers from all over the world and we read our works in progress plus our responses to prompts. While I didn't attend the last event, I wrote a poem in response to the prompt, which was to use the words profundity, impetuous and roller coaster. Spofest Reading

- Later this month I will have two poems that will be published in Eclipse Lit. They will focus on the theme of healing and survival from abuse.

- My most recent composition is a playful accordion piece and I hope to find a live player to perform it! Boisterous Impromptu Accordion

Questions

What questions would you like me to ask you? I have yet to receive a message from any of you. Feel free to respond, to ask anything! What content do you want to see? How would you like to engage with my works?

If you would like to ask about how it's like living in France, becoming an expat, feel free to ask away! Right now, it is almost summer and the sun is a torrid force. There is no humidity, so different from Florida. The school year ends in July and then the whole country is on holiday from July to September. We feast and enjoy the products available as the seasons rotate; fruit picking is easily done at home and shared with neighbors. The sweet slothful cocoon of summer is almost upon us.

You can connect with me on Instagram or Twitter or simply reply to this email.
As always, feel free to share the newsletter with friends who might be interested in my content.
Take care all!

Dear Readers and Listeners!
Never dreamed there’d come a day when I’d start a newsletter, but here I am.

I’m Sophie, a more often than not frazzled French teacher, an author and a composer. I have reached the point in my career where I have published my first novel and my first few albums.

So exciting!

I’ve come a long way from sharing poetry, little stories and piano compositions with families and friends…

In college I started publishing stories and music in online lit magazines, and now, the plunge: self-publishing my novels and albums.

I’d like to use this newsletter to make connections and share my experiences.

I’ll do my best to write every month about my journey and the writing/music process and trends in those communities. I’ll be sharing pictures and videos of readings of my works and discussions about a particular writing/music topic.
