MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE FANTASY SPORTS INDUSTRY

BECOME A MEMBER OF THE FSTA BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Fantasy Sports Trade Association Board of Directors does a lot of work on behalf of the fantasy sports industry.  The board, beginning with the election in February of 2015 will made up of 18 individuals.  The size of the board is being increased this year from 15.

These board members dedicate their personal time to managing the FSTA business and industry conferences.  Each board member is expected to serve on committees and work for the betterment of the industry.  It is NOT an honorary position!

Usually when elected, a member serves a three-year term. Because of the expansion this year, the people receiving the first through sixth most votes will fill three-year positions, the seventh place person will receive a two-year position and the eighth place person will receive a one-year position on the board.

So this is your chance to shape the direction of the association and to volunteer your time and resources to make the fantasy sports industry even better.  There is no better time than now to get involved.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The FSTA is a non-profit organization and, accordingly, board members are not paid for their service.

Ideal candidates are individuals that are motivated to propel the industry, achieve industry goals and work as a team to raise awareness for fantasy sports, protect the member companies even if they compete with your company and provide value to member companies.

The Board of Directors has a lot of work to do each year and there is an expectation that all board members will participate meaningfully. There is serious work involved.

Each board member is required to be on at least one committee (see the list here). In addition, newly elected board members will also work on our Conference Committee for their first year on the board.
