ArtsBusXpress- funding transportation to arts and sciences

Today's Children * Tomorrow's Future

FEBRUARY 2018 UPDATE

Another Field Study Trip ABX Funded ...

Teen Art Café at SDMA

Students participated in art projects led by Museum educators and artists, enjoyed special performances, and went on an exclusive after-hours tour through the San Diego Museum of Art.

This is Why We Fund Field Trips!

I just wanted to tell you how much my students and I enjoyed our trip to the La Jolla Playhouse to see the Donna Summer Musical. And to learn that it is now going to Broadway! I am so appreciative of your efforts to provide students in San Diego County with educational field trip experiences. We had a wonderful time and it meant so much to us that we were able to get the proper transportation for our special needs student in a wheelchair. There is no such thing as field trips in our district so the fact that we were able to pull this off for these kids is pretty amazing.

Current Educational Collaborations

ABX is collaborating with Cygnet Theater and MOPA to provide FREE bus transportation for out of classroom Field Study trips.
Cygnet Theatre San DiegoCygnet Student Matinees are a wonderful field study to better understand the “behind the scenes” thinking and production process leading up to the theatre presentation.  Not only will your students enjoy a wonderful theatrical play, the Cygnet staff will conduct a pre and post workshop with plenty of interactive discussion about the play.  You just might create the next Tony award recipient right in your own class!  Apply for a bus grant.
If you are a teacher who needs funding for bus transportation to another venue not listed in this newsletter, apply here for an ArtsBusXpress grant.  We do our best to support all requests, but due to limited funding, we can't approve all bus grant applications.

Thank You!
