Annual Subscriptions THANK YOU

Thank you to all those units who paid their annual subscriptions by the due date which meant we received the majority of of our monies into County on time.

From the County Commissioners
Read the latest message from the County Commissioners who, amongst other things, remind us of the upcoming Annual Review & Celebration and thank you for getting your Annual Subscriptions paid promptly.
Activities & Adventure
We welcome our new Water Sports Adviser, Theresa, update you with news of the latest Walking courses as well as having details of the latest events like Bubbs Hill Bash, Showtime 2016 and the Camper/Camper Advanced Badge weekend.
Adult Support
Thanks to everyone who came along to County and made it such a success. We're busy planning upcoming trainings but in the meantime there are details of First Aid trainings in the next couple of months.
Deer Park News
Have you booked your tickets yet for the Deer Park Barn Dance on 21st May? This is a great opportunity to meet with friends old and new, enjoy an evening of dancing and support Deer Park in the process. Tickets can be purchased from Sarah, Deer Park 
Growing Guiding
Girlguiding have produced some fantastic role descriptions for the main roles within a unit. Volunteer Gloucestershire have also got templates to advertise vacancies on their website.
Marketing & Communications
Our branded gazebo had its first real outing a few weekends ago when it visited the Forest of Dean to help promote Girlguiding. This resource, and others, are available for any unit, District or Division to borrow.
Trefoil Guild
Trefoil Members are invited to the Trefoil Guidl AGM on 18th May. Don't forget to get your tickets. Plus we have reports from West TG and Coopers Hill TG.
Youth Participation
The Senior Section Spectacular is well under way. Find out about the Celtic Capitals Adventures as well as future events like the Region Takeover Alton Towers and Wimbleball Wet 'N' Wild Weekend are still open for bookings. Plus, find out about the Senior Section Spectacular Service Challenge.

County Team Changes

NEW Water Sports Adviser: Theresa Bryant
Theresa is a volunteer with 1st Charlton Kings Guides and is very enthusiastic about water sports. From 1st May she will be the County Water Sports Adviser. She is qualified in Sailing but also has experience with wind surfing and canoeing. She is keen to share her skill so if you need any help or advise on this front then get in touch with her.

Thwe crowds gathered at the top of Bubbs Hill to watch our very own Birthday Beacon and to celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday.
