The NCACC Wishes You a
Happy Thanksgiving!
In this season of gratitude, the Association would like to thank county leaders, partners, and supporters for your work done in service of counties across the state. The NCACC is grateful for the opportunity to work alongside you in supporting and promoting the well-being of all 100 counties.

The Weekly Update email newsletter will resume in its regular format next Friday, December 2. In the meantime, we invite you to email communications@ncacc.org with your county’s news, programs, and announcements to share and to be included in the next edition. See the links below for additional ways to stay connected to the NCACC.

NCACC offices will be closed November 24-25 in observance of the holiday. Have a happy, restful, and safe Thanksgiving!

County Advocacy Tools
County Advocacy Webpage — For ongoing access to the Association’s advocacy expertise, which includes a team of registered lobbyists who advocate on behalf of counties’ interests during and in between legislative sessions, visit www.ncacc.org/county-advocacy/.

Quick Response Teams — NCACC maintains Quick Response Teams (QRTs) to seek advice and input on legislation impacting counties. QRT members are county subject matter experts who are willing to answer questions and provide insights on short notice; whether to inform NCACC staff on legislative issues or serve as a source of information or sounding board. To sign up as a member of a QRT, visit www.ncacc.org/qrt.

Steering Committees — These committees assist the Board of Directors in setting policy for the Association in the areas of Agriculture, Environment, General Government, Health and Human Services, Justice and Public Safety, Public Education, and Tax and Finance. Steering Committee membership is open to all county commissioners, as well as county staff who specialize in committee-related fields. To sign up for a Steering Committee, visit www.ncacc.org/steeringcommittees.
