17th ICORIA in Valencia - Call for papers and deadline extension

The 17th International Conference on Research in Advertising (ICORIA) is taking place on June 21-23, 2018. The deadline for the conference has been extended to March 22. For more information about the conference and for CFP, please visit the conference web page.

ICORIA Doctoral Colloquium 2018

The aim of the ICORIA Doctoral Colloquium is to provide PhD students with professional skills needed for their academic career. The colloquium gives PhD students the opportunity to learn from the insights and experiences of senior scholars in their field of study. Furthermore, PhD students will meet peers from different countries and start (or continue) building an international network that will be valuable throughout their academic career.

What: In 2018 the colloquium will cover strategies for research collaborations as well as insider tips and career advice from Europe's leading advertising researchers. All participants at the colloquium will also be invited to chair sessions in the main conference.

When: The 5th Doctoral Colloquium will be held on June 21 in the Faculty of Economics of the University of Valencia. The sessions will start around noon and conclude with the ICORIA welcome reception late afternoon.

Who: The colloquium is open to PhD students participating in ICORIA 2018 on June 22-23 (see separate call for papers).

How: To participate in the ICORIA 2018 Doctoral Colloquium please send a one-page application in which you describe your dissertation project and briefly motivate why the doctoral colloquium would be important for you in developing your research career.

Please send your application by e-mail to: and no later than May 7, 2018. Applicants will be notified about acceptance no later than May 14, 2018. The number of participants is limited and the selection will be based on the fit between research interests and ICORIA as well as motivations.

Joint membership for the American Academy of Advertising and the European Advertising Academy

The EAA enables its members a joint membership with the American Academy of Advertising (AAA) with regular member dues for US $100 and student dues for US $50. This joint membership will allow members access to both organizations with all membership benefits, including on-line access to the Journal of Advertising, The Journal of Current Issues in Advertising Research, the Journal of Interactive Advertising, AAA Conference Proceedings, official AAA mailings, and the online AAA newsletter and reduced price at ICORIA conferences.
