Doggy Weekend

On April 8th and 9th, visitors of the National Botanic Garden will be able to bring their dogs with them for a visit.  Make a day of it at the Garden and bring man’s best friend to enjoy the Garden’s 598 acres.

A full list of Doggy Day rules can be seen here.  Dogs are permitted in Y Pot Blodyn’s coffee shop, the Seasons Restaurant, the Gift Shop and the main concourse of the Great Glasshouse.

Age UK Article

The Garden has been included in an Age UK article - Britain’s Most Accessible
Gardens.

The article, by Robyn Lewis, highlights the UK’s most accessible public gardens and, as well as the National Botanic Garden of Wales, includes Kew Royal Botanic Gardens in London, Sissinghurt Castle Garden in Kent and RHS Garden Wisley in Surrey.

As one of Wales’ main Millennium Projects, accessibility was a key factor in the National Botanic Garden of Wales’ design, with all paths within the formal garden area being wheelchair and mobility scooter friendly.

The Garden also offers a daily shuttle buggy service where volunteer buggy drivers transport those with limited mobility from the Garden’s main entrance (Gatehouse) to either the Great Glasshouse, the Stable Block where our Seasons Restaurant, gift shop and gallery are located, or other areas of the Garden.

See here for the full article, or here for more information on the Garden’s accessibility.

RHS Cardiff Flower Show

Look out for the National Botanic Garden's interactive display in the Discovery Marquee of the RHS Cardiff Flower Show, and take our 'Parts of the Body' challenge!

The RHS Cardiff Show is on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of this week at Bute Park, Cardiff Castle.

Tocyn Dychwelyd yr Ardd

MAE'N TOCYN DYCHWELYD YMA ETO!

Mae ein 'tocyn dychwelyd' arbennig sy'n caniatáu mynediad am ddim am wythnos, yn ôl y flwyddyn hon, mewn pryd ar gyfer gwyliau'r Pasg!

Felly, bydd unrhyw un sy'n prynu tocyn i'r Ardd nawr hyd at Ragfyr 31ain 2017 yn cael ei ganiatáu i ddod nôl i'r Ardd AM DDIM am saith diwrnod ar ôl eu hymweliad - a gymaint o weithiau ag y dymunwch!

Erthygl 'Age UK'

Mae’r Ardd wedi’i chynnwys yn erthygl Gerddi Mwyaf Hygyrch Prydain gan ‘Age UK’.

Mae’r erthygl, gan Robyn Lewis, yn dangos y gerddi cyhoeddus mwyaf hygyrch ac, yn ogystal â Gardd Fotaneg Genedlaethol Cymru, yn cynnwys Gerddi Fotaneg Frenhinol Kew yn Llundain, Gardd Castell Sissinghurt yng Nghaint a’r Ardd CGF Wisley yn Surrey.

Fel un o brif Brosiectau’r Mileniwm yng Nghymru, roedd hygyrchedd yn elfen bwysig o ddyluniad Gardd Fotaneg Genedlaethol Cymru, gyda holl lwybrau’r ardd ffurfiol yn addas am gadeiriau olwyn a sgwteri symudedd.

Mae’r Ardd hefyd yn cynnig gwasanaeth bygi ‘mynd a dod’ lle mae gyrwyr gwirfoddol yn cludo ymwelwyr gyda symudedd cyfyngedig o brif fynedfa’r Ardd (Y Porthdy) i naill ai’r Tŷ Gwydr Mawr, y Bloc Stablau ble mae’r Bwyty Tymhorau, siop roddion a’r oriel wedi eu lleoli, neu ardal arall o’r Ardd.

Gwelwch yma am yr erthygl lawn, neu yma am fwy o wybodaeth ar hygyrchedd yr Ardd.
