Year of Improvements!

Our team has been busy the past year

2016 was a year of expansion for NocTel and our users. We have been working hard to improve our system backbone to make sure that your communication needs are exceeded. Our goal at NocTel is to continue to grow and improve our features and system to provide you the best in communication solutions.

In 2016, NocTel:
  • Grew infrastructure in Portland OR and Atlanta GA to develop a faster, reliable, and secure communication system.
  • Made enhancements on how NocTel sends and receives faxes for improved reliability.
  • Added system features like SIP trunks, auto answer intercom, and more dial codes
  • Made improvements based on customer feedback to our voicemail system, control panel, and hunt group features. 
  • Connected more users to their customer base than ever before, at saving unseen with standard phone companies.
We don't plan to slow down anytime soon! We have a lot planned for 2017 and look forward to bringing new features to you all year. Keep a lookout for more updates to come your way each month!
Recording Audio Made Easy

Did you know that you can use your phone to make and store recordings to your NocTel account? This is a great way to quickly make high-quality recordings for greetings, messages, directories and more, without the use of complicated computer-based recording software. Here's how:
  1. From an account phone dial *97
  2. A prompt similar to making a voicemail greeting can be heard. After the tone record your message. 
  3. If you made a mistake and don't want to save, just end the call. To save the recording press # before ending the call.
  4. The recording can be reviewed from the NocTel web control panel, under the Recordings tab. It will be labeled in the list with the extension's name, date, and time. Rename, review, and save changes to the recordings here before using it elsewhere in the account.

Better, Faster, Faxing

One area of recent improvement for our customers has been to our inbound faxing services. We are now seeing more successfully completed inbound faxes then ever before, thanks to improvements with legacy fax machine compatibility. Other enhancements include improved fax quality and faster transmission times! All this combines into a better, more reliable faxing service that NocTel is providing its clients.

NocTel Quick Tip


Want to check a different extension's voicemail from any phone in your account? It's easy! Just dial *98 from any account phone and when prompted to dial the extension number plus #, and that mailbox's PIN. Told you it was easy!
