Revving Up Our Statewide Media Campaign
and Pet Trap Release Workshops

Our statewide awareness campaign is revving up with this informational ad in the 2016 summer issue of the Jackson Hole Magazine. It is a reminder to our residents and visitors to be aware that traps can be set directly on thousands of miles of public trails in Wyoming. In addition, we are making tracks with our four Pet Trap Release Workshops scheduled in the weeks ahead as we reach out to other Wyoming communities.

Education and outreach are critically important for raising awareness of trapping issues and impacts on communities and wildlife. The goals of WU's education and outreach are three-fold:
  • Inform the public of the current state of wildlife management as it pertains to trapping, and the impact that unlimited and largely unregulated trapping has on people, pets and wildlife.
  • Aid the non-trapping public in learning more about how to operate traps so that they could release a pet (or small child) from a trap should the need arise.
  • Educate and inform the public about science-based alternatives to current furbearer and predator wildlife management.
Please consider making a donation to Wyoming Untrapped and our new media campaign series and workshops.  A donation of $100 can help support one informational ad in a Wyoming paper for our new media series, or $200 can help sponsor a Pet Trap Release Workshop in a key area in the state. No matter how you can contribute, please join us on this journey and help move trapping reform forward.

As always, we thank you for your support: past, present and future.  We could not accomplish our mission without your continued dedication to Wyoming's wildlife!
