2019: an all-new body of oil paintings.
Trevor has set out to create a set of new paintings to celebrate some of the Lake's classic walks and views.
Weather: an inescapable feature whose dramatic moods fascinate him and have always been the starting point of all of his paintings.
As the works progressed, closer observation revealed just how ancient this rugged, beautiful landscape really is with many famous walks we trek for pleasure today having been first created out of necessity for teams of pack horses to move goods across the landscape.
Oil paint has become the medium of choice, just squeezing a line of colour, its visceral fluid consistency tamed and controlled with an alchemy of linseed oil & turpentine, brushes on the large side and a wood handled pallet knive, Trevor finds full engagement in his craft.
Will you join us on this Friday, 30th August ('til 30 Sept) for what is already shaping up on Social Media as "one show to not miss"?
Trevor is also accompanying the NLG to the Edinburgh Art Fair 22-24 November.
