Welcome to the July 2016 Newsletter!

... and ANOTHER new demo tune! Not to mention the confirmed track list for the new album . . .  ! Read on . . . . .

New Demo Tune and Other Stuff

Timely Reminder - NEW Demo!

This tune is a fusion-esque piece, by turns frantic and laid back and then rocky! Featuring Nathan on the sax, this is a well cool tune! As with all these demos, except where indicated, all instruments played by me. The final version just needs drums and stand up bass. They are being worked on this week. Click the link below to listen to the song. Hope you like it.

What Might be Fun!
Is to release the next album in two formats . . .  the Official version, featuring all the additional musicians, and the demo version featuring just me and a few others. Think it would be a cool thing to do. Just for the mailing list, of course, not for general release unless there is demand for it.

What do you think?

Hi-Res Audio
I always record at 24bit / 48Khz and release at 16bit / 44Khz (CD quality for both CDs and Downloads). As a result, I am considering releasing the next one in Hi-Res as an additional option. We'll see.

If it's something you would be interested in, pop along to Facebook and let me know!

Track List

Kicking the Olive Branch will feature 6 tracks:

  1. Quantum Spin
  2. Lovotics
  3. Mood # 12
  4. Inconsistent Echoes
  5. Kicking the Olive Branch
  6. Timely Reminder
It will come in around 46-50 minute mark. The running order shown works brilliantly but I may change it later . . . .  as I am wont to do!

Passing Fancy (I, II)

Passing Fancy (I, II), the special fan club only release, is listed in our singles discography and is still available for free to all our readers. The recording features:

  • Steven McCabe – Guitars, Keyboards
  • Jason Meekins – Drums
  • Jair-Rohm Parker Wells – Bass Guitar

Briefly, the song is a 10+ minute anti-war / protest song (probably) and is in two distinct parts. The second part uses archive newsreel footage to document how easily human life is wasted and is quite a litany of woe.

How to get the track
Click here to download the track. Please do not share this link. Note that the download is via a SoundCloud private link - but you won’t need an account to get it. Simply click the link, hit play or download and the track is yours to keep, absolutely free.

I do hope you enjoy the song.

Please note that this song is exclusive to you and any other folks who wish to join our list. It is not on any album or single.

And that's about it for now. Please share this news or the demos with anyone and everyone . . . it really helps spread the proverbial word!

Thanks, as ever, for your support,
