Teen Summer Reading Goal

Local teens have read 1,293 books towards our 4,000 book goal this summer. If you want to join them, sign up online through Beanstack. Each book read by incoming 6th-12th graders equals a 25 cent donation to the Oregon Food Bank. We also found out that an anonymous donor will double whatever amount teens raise this summer, so you have extra incentive! Let's Read!

Online Owl Book Group
Friday July 31 | 10:30am-12pm
Online Zoom Meeting

Join us for a book discussion of Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman. E-mail laurab@wccls.org for a link to the Zoom meeting.

Meet Eleanor Oliphant: She struggles with appropriate social skills and tends to say exactly what she’s thinking. Nothing is missing in her carefully timetabled life of avoiding social interactions. But everything changes when Eleanor meets Raymond, the bumbling and deeply unhygienic IT guy from her office. When she and Raymond save an elderly gentleman who has fallen on the sidewalk, the three become the kinds of friends who rescue one another from the lives of isolation they have each been living. And it is Raymond’s big heart that will ultimately help Eleanor find the way to repair her own profoundly damaged one.
