Owl Book Group

Bruder hits the road to meet these people, accompanying them from campground toilet cleaning to desert reunions to the dangerous work of beet harvesting. She reveals the dark underbelly of the American economy while celebrating the resilience and creativity of these Americans who have given up ordinary lives to survive.
