Welcome to our first Newsletter for Parents and Teachers of Teens and Tweens.

Our intention is to share two to three news items relating to middle and high school students twice a month so that parents and teachers will know about resources and events that the libraries offer to teens and tweens. We'll share tips on how best to use the Youth Access Card from WCCLS, upcoming events for teens, occasional book reviews and info on how teens can get the most out of their library.

Please subscribe and find out what the library has for the teen or tween in your life.

Library Resources at Home

There are many library resources that students can use from home with their library card. From live homework help to Brainfuse to AP and SAT testing in Learning Express, your library card is an invaluable tool.

We have several tips on how to use library resources in our YouTube playlist, with more videos added frequently.

The WCCLS Homework Help page features all our educational databases.
Teen Online Art Gallery

Calling all teens! Send us your amazing art and we will display it in our "Online Teen Art Gallery" on our Facebook page. The theme is: Capture how you're feeling right now. Art is a wonderful way to express what emotions are popping up and is a great way to process how you're doing. Use whatever art medium you'd like and send it to us along with a short description. Send all entries/questions to RebekahB@wccls.org.

Art submitted to this event gives Cedar Mill Bethany Libraries permission to post on social media.
The Summer Reading Challenge is Coming

Summer reading will look a little different this year.  We won't have books to give away, but every book read by middle and high schoolers will contribute towards fighting food insecurity through The Oregon Food Bank. The full details will be available in our next newsletter.
Visit us on social media for fun photos and videos, the latest staff picks and news about resources, programs and events!
