Hello members and friends of the Lincoln Northside and Holland Churches!
Grace and peace to you all.
I feel the need to begin this week with a bit of a warning. There have been several recent attempts by scammers to send text messages out using my name. The goal of their pretense is to deceive people into giving them money. Please know that I will never text you asking for money, even if framed in a noble cause. If you are ever uncertain about whether or not I am really the one texting you, it may be enough to respond asking for a time when you can call. The scammers don't usually want you to call. Either way, any reference to money/gift cards should also be enough of a red flag for you to recognize that this is not really me.
As you read this week's updates, it is my hope that you will be motivated to participate in various options of worship and fellowship with our church community.

Ministry Opportunities for You
Even though the "nominating committee" cycle has come and gone for our district this year, please know that the books aren't closed...there are still many possibilities of service yet to be more fully mobilized! From personal ministries at Holland to communications at Northside to general outreach ministries etc. If you have ideas for new ministries or would love to participate with an established team, please do not hesitate to reach out to Pastor Deneil at deneil.clarke@gmail.com, and you will be connected with other local leadership to get you involved. We are eager to ensure that everyone has a fulfilling place in ministry in our congregations. There is room and a need for everyone's gifts!

Hear some wonderful gospel groups and experience a hymn sing for yourself! Beside great music from the Wissmann Family and Grateful Heart Quartet, we'll join together to sing out of those church hymnals, led by Don and Karaly Juhl, hymn sing professionals. Other music artists will be: Sandra Schwab (keyboards), Bruce Griffith (bass) and other surprise combination groups. You'll enjoy this great evening of gospel music!

Holiday Decorations at Northside
Don't miss the opportunity to help make Northside beautiful for this upcoming holiday season and many more to come. To help defray the cost, we are asking our church family to adopt various decorations. Poinsettia plants are $25.00 each, trees are either $30.00 or $40.00, and a big bouquet for the front of the church is $110.00 Please see the display in the foyer at church for further details.

This Week's Offering
Our offering focus this week is local church ministries. The Lincoln Northside and Holland churches are grateful for your faithful participation each week. We remain committed to service, and to proclaiming the praises of the One who has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light. Thank you for considering ways to support and be involved with this mission.
You may participate financially by giving to/through Lincoln Northside or Holland this week. Your tithe goes to support the work of the Lord across the conference (including your church), and your offering goes wherever you designate within the local church. As we trust in God our provider, may He continue to add rich blessings and multiply our gifts for the furthering of the gospel.

Northside Gathering Reminder
Based on the updated Directed Health Measures announced by our local health officials for the Lincoln-Lancaster area, we are asking all those attending any indoor gatherings on the Northside campus to continue to plan on the appropriate use of a face mask. You can view the announcement from the link above for additional details. Northside is participating in this community effort as outlined in that document. Thank you for your help, and we hope to have you worship the Lord with us.

Connect Card
One of the ways we are hoping to stay in touch with you is through our online connect card. If you would like to get more involved at Northside or Holland or have a ministry suggestion for either church, there is a place on the card to indicate that, along with other ways that our community of faith can be your community too. Each filled-out card goes directly to Pastor Deneil by email, and based on your indicated preference, he will either pass it along to relevant ministry leaders or follow up with you confidentially. Either way, we will do our best to respond to you directly. Please do not journey alone.

Holland Church Bible Study

Continuing next Monday, we are studying through the Gospel According to Luke. We are reading and studying together verse by verse and cover as much as we can in an hour each week.
