Northside Ministry Interest

If you are interested in serving in ministry at Northside, please take a look at this Ministry Interest Form which gives a brief description of all the current roles and an opportunity for you to select whichever one/s you are willing to consider (or to recommend someone else for)! The nominating committee will begin to review your responses in their next meeting on Tuesday of next week.

Van Horn Birthday Celebration

Rebeca Van Horn invites you to celebrate with her son Daniel on his 15th birthday this coming Saturday at 6:00 pm. Location: 10300 S 120 St. Bennett NE. There will be supper, a treasure hunt (Bible treasure), songs and more. RSVP by September 2 if you wish to attend.

Meal Trains

A Meal Train has been set up to celebrate the birth of babies for these Northside church families. Please click on the link following their name to participate in providing a meal. Your blessings of these meals are greatly appreciated. Anyone wishing to bring food items to church on Sabbath may put it in the kitchen fridge - (please mark the name of the recipient on it); it will be delivered to the family.

Support for CVA

We thank the Lord for His continued blessings at College View Academy. Enrollment is trending upward (197 last year, 214 this year), and plans continue to be developed to serve the students, staff and community in the best way possible. Let us continue to prayerfully support our school.

Here's one way we can support. The Middle School at CVA is hosting a fundraiser on September 7 from 10:30a-9:00p at Panda Express located on Pine Lake Street.  If you plan to order in person, you need to show a print/digital copy of the flyer.  If ordering online, you need to enter this unique promo code 327191 for us to receive credit. The Middle School (grades 6-8) is raising money for some fun field trips this year! 

"Overcoming" Seminar

The Holland Church will host the third in a 6-part video series this coming Sabbath afternoon, August 28 at 1:00 pm just following the fellowship meal. You are invited to attend in person (Zoom will no longer be available).

Woodland Acres Vespers

Vespers at Woodland Acres is almost over for the summer. There are 2 more regular scheduled vespers including the next one on Sept. 4 at 7 pm. Please join us, everyone is welcome!

Selah in Concert

There will be a Selah concert at CVC on September 26, 2021 at 6:30pm. All tickets are $25.00 each. It is a fundraiser for Lincoln youth ministry. Tickets can be purchased by clicking this link. Make plans to come and bring your friends!

This Week's Offering

Our offering focus this week is local church ministries. The Lincoln Northside and Holland churches are grateful for your faithful participation each week. We remain committed to service, and to proclaiming the praises of the One who has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light. Thank you for considering ways to support and be involved with this mission.

You may participate financially by giving to/through Lincoln Northside or Holland this week. Your tithe goes to support the work of the Lord across the conference (including your church), and your offering goes wherever you designate within the local church. As we trust in God our provider, may He continue to add rich blessings and multiply our gifts for the furthering of the gospel.

Northside Gathering Update

For any who might be wondering, church remains open for physical gatherings of worship! Based on the recent Directed Health Measures announced by our local health officials for the Lincoln-Lancaster area, we are asking all those attending any indoor gatherings on the Northside campus to plan on the appropriate use of a face mask. You can view the announcement from the link above for additional details. Northside plans to participate in this community effort as outlined in that document. Thank you for your help, and we hope to have you worship the Lord with us. 

Connect Card

One of the ways we are hoping to stay in touch with you is through our online connect card. If you would like to get more involved at Northside or Holland or have a ministry suggestion for either church, there is a place on the card to indicate that, along with other ways that our community of faith can be your community too. Each filled-out card goes directly to Pastor Deneil by email, and based on your indicated preference, he will either pass it along to relevant ministry leaders or follow up with you confidentially. Either way, we will do our best to respond to you directly. Please do not journey alone.
