It's a season of change and reflection ... relax, and take a deep breath!

Our fall color show is on!

Nature's calendar right on schedule

In a year of Covid cancellations, it's comforting to realize that nature just keeps on doing nature's thing ... from season to season. Perhaps that's why the colors around Sandpoint are particularly spectacular this year - our appreciation for the beauty that's all around us is bigger than ever! Take a drive and see for yourself the changing colors in the mountains ... tamarack, aspen, birch, and more. There are many places to take it all in, from the downtown streets to the popular nearby hiking and biking trails. Pictured above is the Pend d'Oreille Bay Trail, located right in town with a lovely lakeside route that's flat and easy to navigate. Enjoy!

Lodging, attractions, more!

Tastes on the town

We all need to get out and about these days ... which is why Sandpoint's winery and breweries have become our go-to places to relax and enjoy the social scene. A few of them host live music on a regular basis (check the updated Visit Sandpoint Entertainment Calendar for a look at who's scheduled). Plus, the outstanding wine and beer selections are unique to our region. See the list of breweries, winery, and public houses.

Ride in the dark!

Saturdays in October, Silverwood is the place to be as the theme park transforms into the Silverwood Afterparty! Come out and ride your favorite rides, including Timber Terror Backwards, in the dark! Also, when the sun sets, Dr. Delirium's 3D Rockhouse will open with party music blaring over the park speakers. Sounds like a blast! Plus, save a cool $5 by purchasing tickets in advance. And if you haven't heard the news by now, 2021 brings a new ride to the park with the addition of the Stunt Pilot single-rail roller coaster. Check out the video on YouTube about the coming attraction - hairpin curves and all!

Fun festivities in the area to explore!

We're heading outdoors to take in all that we can in this glorious month ... and there are a few fun events going on to add to this memorable time of year. The Sandpoint Farmers Market holds their Harvest Fest on Oct. 10, in downtown's Farmin Park. There will be fresh produce vendors, arts and crafts, and more at this season's final outdoor market. Also of note is the Hickey Farms Harvest Festival just a few miles east of Sandpoint on Highway 200, open weekends through the end of October. It includes a U-pick pumpkin patch, arts and crafts vendors, food, live music, and more family fun. Check out their Facebook page for more information about this great event that's quickly become a Sandpoint tradition.
