Dear AAPF Family,

Today is #GivingTuesday, and with it, the kickoff of AAPF’s holiday funding drive! Support us today as we continue the work of uplifting the voices of women and girls of color and of investing in their collective leadership and wellbeing.
We are asking our stakeholders, former and current partners, and community at large for a $15 donation. If we achieve 100% participation, our funding goals for the holidays will be complete in just one day! Should you find yourself unable to give $15, we ask you to contribute what you can or pass along our message to your networks. If you find yourself in a position to give more, please do! Every dollar counts.

In the face of racial justice-only and gender justice-only funding, individual donations are what keep AAPF thriving and fighting injustice alongside women and girls of color. Through your donations, we were able to produce the #SayHerName video to raise awareness about police violence against Black women and girls. Donations allowed us to travel with our Unequal Opportunity Board Game and host workshops with students and faculty, often for the first time, highlighting the ways structural racism and sexism have operated to systematically exclude segments of the population.

Additionally, because of donations we were able to work with girls and women of color more directly through our summer camp, Say Her Name Arts and Activism programming, and Family Weekend. Your support ensures AAPF remains a strong and independent voice fighting against those who would seek to intimidate and silence us.

It is only with your help that we can keep up this fight so we ask for your support. Together we can, and must, lift up the lives of women and girls of color.

Warmly,

The AAPF Team
