The University of New Orleans Press hopes that you and your loved ones are safe in these uncertain and unprecedented times. You previously submitted to our Publishing Lab Prize, and we’d like to let you know that this year’s Publishing Lab Prize is accepting full length fiction manuscripts. Because 80% of our judges change from year to year, we allow manuscripts submitted in previous years to be resubmitted, provided they have not been published nor are under contract to be published with another press or publishing house. We also encourage you to submit new manuscripts, if you wish. Please find the details below.
Now entering its sixth year, the UNO Press Publishing Lab is looking for full length fiction manuscripts for this year’s prize. The winning author will receive a ten thousand dollar ($10,000) advance on royalties and a contract to publish with UNO Press. The work does not have to be regionally focused. There is no word limit. There is no limit on subjects covered. UNO Press is based at the University of New Orleans and distributed by Hopkins Fulfillment Services. Please enter your manuscript through Submittable with a $28 submission fee. Deadline is August 31, 2020. For more information on the Lab Prize, please visit
