Southern Mallee PCP Buloke Family Violence Project 2018

Why Can't I? Real Talk about Equality.
Join us for an entertaining evening, Wednesday, October 24, as we break down barriers, challenge stereotypes and empower each other to reach our full potential. Comedian Nelly Thomas will lead a conversation that encourages each of us and our children to turn obstacles into opportunity and inspire a ‘why can’t I’ attitude. Nelly will also be joined by a guest panel of men and women sharing their experiences challenging gender stereotypes in work, life, sport and community. This event is for everyone - men, women, mothers, fathers, sons and daughters encouraged to attend. Let’s start the conversation!
‘Why Can’t I? Real Talk about Equality’ is an initiative of the Southern Mallee PCP Buloke Family Violence Prevention Project. The Project aims to ‘create an equal and respectful Buloke community, free from violence.’ This inspirational event aims to bring the entire community together to empower current and future leaders, create opportunities and support and encourage involvement in the community. The event addresses strategic direction number one in the Project’s Action Plan; Strengthen community leadership, groups and organisation to drive change to prevent family violence.
