Eyes wide open: a closer look on eye health and low vision care
Part 4. The effect common eye conditions can have on vision

Over the next few months, we will be including Vision2020 articles in our E-Bulletin on the importance of eye health. Please find them in a word format here to distribute to clients.

In Australia, approximately 453,000 people are blind or have low vision. As our population continues to age this number is expected to increase in the future.

Common causes of blindness and vision loss in people aged over 40 in Australia include Age-related Macular Degeneration, Glaucoma, Cataracts, Diabetic Retinopathy and Stroke. Click here for more information on these causes and common signs and symptoms for people who are vision impaired.
