Our North Central Football League Stands up to Family Violence clip has been seen over 23,000 times! An initiative of the SMPCP Buloke Family Violence Prevention Project, the clip stars representatives from the North Central Football League, Netball Association and Hockey Association taking a stand against family violence. Southern Mallee PCP Dementia Pathways Project
They are out! As part of the Project, we have developed a single page brochure to increase awareness and access to dementia care services across the Southern Mallee Region. These have been mailed out to organisations, and to access the relevant LGA brochure please click below and download or print.

The Building Socially Inclusive Rural Communities: A complete resource workshop was held on Thursday 3rd May 2018, in Wycheproof. The workshop aimed to engage and empower participants to be leaders of rural social inclusion, whether within an organisation, partnership or the broader rural community.

Being an Active Bystander to Prevent Violence Against Women: 12 July 2018
This three-hour active bystander training supports participants to speak up when confronted with everyday sexism and sexual harassment, and/or behaviours and attitudes that justify, excuse, blame, trivialise or minimise violence against women.
Safe and Supported: Building Workplace Capacity to Manage Family Violence: 24 July 2018
This workshop is designed to build the capacity of workplaces to support their employees who are experiencing family violence. Disclosures of family violence are common after or during violence prevention training and/or workplace change programs.

The Andrews Labor Government is encouraging Victoria’s rising sports stars to apply for travel grants to help them take their skills to the next level. Minister for Sport John Eren today announced applications have opened for the Labor Government’s 2018/19 Athlete Pathway Travel Grant Program.

Promoting health happens in many ways, and can happen anywhere. With challenges to our health and wellbeing all around us, it’s so important we share and recognise the great work keeping Victorians healthy.

The VicHealth Awards recognise people, organisations, workplaces and clubs empowering others to live happy, healthy lives.

What’s new in 2018?
  • 10 updated categories to choose from, including a new Gender Equality category
  • New, shorter assessment criteria
  • A new online platform making the submitting your nomination much easier and more reliable.
  • Awards Webinar, presented by a former VicHealth awards assessor, to step you through the new criteria and share tips to make your nomination shine.
  • Finalists will not only be invited to the Awards Ceremony on 5 December, but will have the opportunity to present to other finalists and other leaders in health promotion (and beyond) at the first ever VicHealth Awards Showcase, to be held on the same day.
Both stand-alone initiatives and suites of work that have led to, and are still resulting in health and wellbeing gains are encouraged to enter.
Intereach announced as NDIS LAC and ECEI partner for Mallee and Goulburn

Intereach has been announced as the NDIS Local Area Coordination (LAC) and ECEI (Early Childhood Early Intervention) provider for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in the Mallee.
