COULD YOU BE A HEALTH COMPANION?


Central Surrey Voluntary Action is launching a new project for people who need companions to support them on visits to medical appointments in and around Epsom. The role involves supporting an individual on a 1 to1 going to a medical appointment.

Key Responsibilities would be:

· Driving to medical appointments

· Accompanying and supporting during the appointments

· Taking notes on behalf of the person at appointments

· Visiting the service user if a stay in hospital is required

Mole Valley Friendship and Fishing Group


Starts 22 April – Fridays 10.30 am to 1.30 pm for 10 weeks

Henfold Lakes, Beare Green, Dorking, RH5 4RW

Whether you are new to fishing or have experience angling, if you live in Surrey you are welcome to join us

Run by qualified angling coaches from Reflections Angling – all bait and equipment are provided

First Taster Session Free – a contribution of £10 per session thereafter. 

Transport to the Lake is available from Mole Valley Life Community Transport

Central Surrey Voluntary Action has a shopping service for people who are unable to shop for themselves, this could be because they are unable to use online services, they are unable to book a slot for delivery, they have a condition that makes it difficult to leave their home:

The service is available to residents in Elmbridge, Epsom & Ewell and Mole Valley. Call or Email CSVA to arrange for a volunteer to do your shopping and deliver it to you.

up to a value of £100 for a volunteer to shop for you.

Our death cafes are free and open to anyone, to speak freely and without judgement. There is no set agenda for a death café meeting just facilitated discussion following the interests of those attending.

Taking time to reflect on death is something we can all do. When we spend time talking about death, we find that it helps remove the fear around it.
