Almost 10 years ago, GTECH was founded. What started as research at the Heinz College at Carnegie Mellon University became an internationally acclaimed, high impact organization that transforms vacant, underutilized spaces into thriving places everyone can enjoy.
Yesterday, we officially said farewell to our founder, CEO, and the heart behind GTECH's humble growth, Andrew Butcher. You can read his farewell message in Andrew's Thank You Letter to the GTECH Community.
We will be recognizing Andrew and GTECH's contributions to communities across Pittsburgh at GTECH's 10 year celebration. Join us on April 21 at the Heinz History Center for Grounded For Good, a evening of food, drinks, and activities centered around GTECH's continued commitment to community and environmental health.

From healing gardens to interactive playspaces, the Clairton Ambassador cohort brought their project ideas to life with the help of architects and designers.
As we celebrate 10 years of good work on the ground, we reflect back on our values and the lessons we've learned to see the future with new eyes.
