We'll be visiting several vacant lot transformations from our 2019 Working with Lots Grantees across the city, and enjoying dinner + dessert al fresco. This year will have the largest and most unique lot transformations to date, but space is limited, so be sure to register ahead of time!

TUESDAY OCTOBER 22: PLACEMAKING + PLACEKEEPING ON YOUR LOT

A Working with Lots Workshop Series Event

In this workshop we'll cover the benefits of placemaking, how transforming vacant spaces can create a sense of place in a neighborhood and provide the community with a place to gather. Tips for raising funds, engaging community in the placemaking planning process, event logistics, and placekeeping will be covered. Through hands-on activities we’ll share ways to incorporate different types of art and structures to engage the community and enhance a space. By the end of the workshop you'll be able to bring back transferable skills and activities that you can share with your community group and neighborhood. Register here!
