What is Trunk-or-Treat?

The congregation gathers at the church, opens up the trunks of their cars and the backs of their trucks and vans, and kids come around to each car to Trick-or-Treat.

Are the trunks the only thing that will take place?

No! We will have a cakewalk, face painting, inflatables, and more. There will be something for everyone!  Expect all kinds of fun festival activities in addition to the trunk or treating.

What can I do to help?

So glad you asked!

Sign up to decorate a trunk (sign-up sheet in narthex or email us). You can decorate however you would like. If you need a place to start, do a Google search of “trunk or treat ideas” and you’ll find all sorts of great possibilities. Plan on having enough candy or treats for 100+ trick-or-treaters. Set-up will begin in the  soccer field at 2:00 p.m. on Oct. 30th. Cars, trucks, or vans need to be parked, decorated, and ready for activities by 2:45.  Cars should remain parked until 5:00 p.m. The more trunks we have the better!!!

You can also sign-up to provide baked goods for the  (sign-up sheet in narthex or email us).cakewalk

Help us get the word out. This is a community event: please invite your friends, neighbors, and family members. Also watch the church’s Facebook page for an event invitation you can share on social media.

Join us on Oct. 30th!

Fall Sermon Series

Who are your neighbors?  Do you know them?  What does it mean to be a good neighbor?  What happens when you don't see eye to eye?  Join us this Sunday as Rev. Troy Tatum begins a new series of sermons on community, connections, and what it means to love our neighbor, even when it is hard to do.

Audio recordings of recent sermons are available to stream or download here.
Join us for a special Youth-led Worship experience on Sunday, November 6 at 10:15 as we celebrate All Saints Sunday!
Congregational Meeting Update
Thank you to everyone who participated in Sunday's congregational meeting.  There were four items on the agenda.  The congregation approved the new Constitution and Bylaws, which will take effect July 1, 2017; the congregation authorized the Mission Council to oversee the transition from our current governing documents to our new ones; the congregation approved a budget for January to June 2017; and the congregation enthusiastically approved Hubert Nall's nomination as Elder Emeritus (congratulations, Hubert!).

Dear Church Family,

Our Fall Festival will be this Thursday, October 27 at 6:00.  Please make plans to attend if you can.  Mack has assured me there will be plenty of food for all. You can be sure it will be delicious if Mack is making it!

We have some wonderful raffle items this year.  They range from a $125 gift certificate to Flemings to a handcrafted teddy bear.  This is something for everyone!

Thank you for your love and support you show T.A.N. I am thankful for you!

May God Bless!
FCC Kids will not meet this Sunday, comeTrunk or Treat with us from 3:00-5:00!
Youth arrive at 2:30 to help set up for Trunk or Treat. We will stay for practice and games from 5:00-7:00.
Our students are excited about the opportunity to spend time together and grow in their faith as they learn to follow Jesus more fully. And we all know it just wouldn't be the same without food, right? We would appreciate it if you would consider signing up for a meal one week. We are using sign-up genius to help track each week and we think it will make everything simpler. All you have to do is click the link below for a list of available dates, choose one that works for you and sign up. You're welcome to team up with others, just choose a point person to sign up. Please remember, if you would like to be reimbursed, save your receipts and give them to Donnette Mee or Robin Blakemore and we'll make sure you get a check. Also, you can apply those receipts to your giving statement if you'd like to make it a tax deduction.

Check out the schedule and sign up here.

If you have questions please contact Robin.
