Coastline Fall Enrollments
Coastline is off to a great start this fall!
A total of 12,687 students are currently enrolled at Coastline for the fall 2014 semester, compared to last year with a total of 11,800 students.
Coastline is expecting to see the fall enrollments increase throughout the semester.

Professional Development Opportunities: Nutri-Courses for Faculty
The Instructional Design Team offers faculty professional development opportunities to improve the quality of their courses, and increase student learning and engagement. Past workshops have been in person, but seeing that the face to face workshops may be inconvenient for faculty members' busy schedule there is now an online course that is now being offered, specifically for Coastline faculty.
The next Nutri-Course, "QUAL500 Measure & Improve Course Quality," begins October 6th and ends October 20th. Registration is now open simply follow this link: http://cfa.coastline.edu

Coastline Welcomes New Director of Student Life!
Nathan Brais joins the Coastline team from Mt. San Jacinto College (MSJC). He served for two years as the primary coordinator of student activities at MSJC where he advised the student government and supported nearly 40 student organizations at two campuses.
Prior to working at MSJC, he worked at Cal State Long Beach in the Student Life & Development office as well as the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP). He has also had assignments at Mt. San Antonio College's EOPS and Long Beach City College's Transfer Center.
Nathan is thrilled to be joining Coastline! He looks forward to developing an innovative approach to Student Life that will fit the unique needs of the students on campus and online. Please welcome Nathan Brais to Coastline!

The Student Success Center Is Now Online!
The Student Success Center is now capable of delivering tutoring services online to
students, via Skype. This is a brand new service that the Student Success Center is
proud to offer. Students simply have to contact the center to make an appointment by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
