Successful Summer Institute | 2014

The 2014 Summer Institute was a two-day conference held on July 24th and 25th, covering topics that included flipping classrooms, e-Portfolios, Camtasia, Computer Security, Social Media, and Google Apps, among other popular workshops. 

The institute was kicked off with a Khan Academy welcome session which hosted 87 faculty and staff members. Each session hosted an average of 35 attendees with a total of over 350 participants in attendance for all sessions each day. 

Faculty and staff members were able to receive valuable information on how they could use new tools and software to improve their professional skills. Many attendees also participated in exercises where they practiced their new training in real time.

Informing Students that UC and CSU Applications  are Now Open!

Coastline is helping students get a jump start on completing their UC and CSU applications for the Spring of 2015.

Coastline students are encouraged to seek assistance with their CSU or UC application and personal statements by contacting the Transfer Center directly at or 714-241-6171.

*Upcoming Coastline application workshops are scheduled through October. 

Marketing Focus Group

Coastline held a focus 
group on Wednesday, July 30th at the Newport Beach Center, where students and faculty provided feedback on the new Coastline website and marketing materials due to launch in Fall 2014.

Students and faculty were able to
become more familiar with the new website as they navigated through the homepage, student services pages, and new features that will be available when the website launches. 

The concept of the new website is to provide students with a user-friendly experience. Easy navigation, online forms, Coastline programs, applications, deadlines sections, and more will be available for all website users to enhance their experience at Coastline.


Coastline's Art Gallery: RIBBA 500

The first exhibition of Coastline Art Gallery's RIBBA 500 will be held this Fall and is open to students, faculty, staff members, and for the first time, anyone in the world!

Submissions must be in an Ikea RIBBA frame to be part of the show.

Drop off dates for the art pieces:
August 27th-30th
