RESEARCH SHOWS ENROLLMENT IS STILL UP
ENROLLMENT INCREASES AT COASTLINE IN 2017-18
Coastline College is making steady progress toward meeting the projected enrollment management goals.
The data shows the College is making progress towards the enrollment management goal of 6,450.00 FTES and preliminary projection of 6,350.00.
 
COASTLINE COLLEGE INITIATIVES
 
Coastline College initiatives for the 2018-19 academic year..
 
Regular and Substantive Interaction (RSI):  All online classes will meet or exceed federal, accreditation, college/department RSI standards by 99% by Fall 2018.  The accrediting team lead by Dr. Vince Rodriguez, VP of Instruction will pull sample online courses for RSI review from the Fall 2018 courses.

Guided Pathways (GP): All ten (10) Guided Pathways cross-functional workgroups, supported by college faculty/staff/students, will complete their transformative work in preparation for a GP Fall 2020 implementation. 

Accreditation: Coastline will meet or exceed accreditation requirements as validated by the Spring 2019 external evaluation visit.

Professional Development: Coastline will have an integrated and collaborative professional development structure and plan that supports a robust professional development for faculty and staff. The professional development program supports career advancement , work excellence, and key-college initiatives
 

Student Success Outcomes: Coastline will course success rate to 75% and completion rate to 67%


 


4 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
 

1. Coastline's Fall FTE's are up by 112 FTE's from last Fall.  Congratulations to all!

 
2. Non-Student facing services have moved from the main College Center building to the Annex building.  Services that have moved to the 1st-floor Annex include Planning, Research and Grants; Human Resources; President's Office, and Office of Instruction.


3. Coast District is expected to receive around $15 million in additional funding for 2018-19 based on the new Student-Centered Funding Formula.  The new funding formula includes $50 million for new faculty system-wide.


4. An expanded Faculty Success Center located in the Annex is expected to open before the end of the Fall Semester.  More information to come.
