Notes - October 2014

In This Issue...

From the President

Thank you all for your pledges and participation with the Boosterthon Fun Run event!! We had pledges from 43 states and 12 countries and we could not have done it without the help from our parents and students. Our students and staff had a great time at the Fun Run! We had Mrs. Lewandowski and Ms. Nickles running right along with the students. Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time to mark laps on the student’s t-shirts. I think the parents had just as much fun as their kids!!
Please continue to engage your students with the lessons they learned from Boosterthon. As a reminder they are...
1. Plug into Serve;
2. Play Hard;
3. Amplify others;
4. Listen for Feedback;
5. Thank your Crowd

Thank you again for all your help with this event. Once all the monies are collected we will let you know how we did with our event.

Cindy Johnson
PTA President

The PTA would like to thank all of the parent volunteers and teachers for making the Boosterthon Fun Run such a great experience. The kids had a blast while getting some great exercise. Boosterthon did a wonderful job of highlighting the character lessons daily. We've heard of some great stories of how kids have used them in real life experiences in a positive way.

As we wrap up this fundraiser, we ask the following: Students, please remember to thank everyone who gave you a pledge. Parents, please start asking the people who pledged to start making payments. An email will go out to them giving them the final tally. They can pay online (preferred) or by cash/check. Checks are to be made payable to FES PTA. Payments are due Friday, October 24, 2014.
