A  Note From the President

We are excited to be partnering with Boosterthon again this year for our Fulton Fun Run fundraiser. This years theme is Big World Recess! It is a global fitness theme all about playing with character. Please don't forget to register your child. Every child that registers will receive a free gift and there is no financial commitment for registering. Fun Run t-shirts will be given out to ALL students, regardless if they participate or not on the day of the run, Thursday, October 15th. Please do not forget to look over the packet that came home Tuesday, October 6th filled with all the information you need for this event. Pledges are due back to school on Thursday, October 22nd. We are raising funds this year for Technology Equipment and Healthy Heart initiatives for our students. We are hoping for good weather this year for our run! Please feel free to come cheer on your student and others by noting the time each grade runs:

  • Grades 3 through 5 will run from 9:45 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
  • Grades K through 2 will run from 2:15 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

If the weather is good this year, the run will be outside. Please sign in at the front office and get a visitor's badge before coming out to watch our students.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me Cindy Johnson or Erica Streitz our Boosterthon Chairperson.

Thank you for supporting the Fulton Elementary School PTA!

The Fulton Fun Run is here!

The Fulton Fun Run is the FES PTA's main fundraiser for the year. We are raising funds this year for Technology Equipment and Healthy Heart Initiatives. The Fulton Fun Run is a nine-day experience focused on Fitness, Leadership, and Character. We kicked off the experience earlier this week with a Pep Rally. Each student was given a pledge book containing important information about the Fun Run fundraiser.

Here’s how you can support Fulton Elementary:
  • Register your student. To log in pledges, please register your child on, using our school’s registration code: 987-549. Students receive a FREE GIFT just by having their parent or guardian register them on
  • Reach out to sponsors. Connect with 10 sponsors. You can use social media in the pledging process and even create custom videos—all of this is on Be sure to capture and record each sponsor’s e-mail address. They will also have an easy opportunity to pay for your student’s pledge by credit card online.
  • Ask your child about the BIG WORLD RECESS Character Play of the day! This year’s character theme is BIG WORLD RECESS, a global fitness theme all about playing with more character. Watch the fun videos with your child on
  • Come to the Fun Run on Thursday, October 15th! All students are invited to participate, regardless of financial participation. Remember, students will be running 30-35 laps, and we would love for you to come out and cheer. Join us at 9:30 a.m. to cheer on the 3rd-5th graders. Come back at 2:00 p.m. to cheer on the K-2nd graders. We even have volunteer opportunities available!

The Great Shoe Take-Off

Every year, Boosterthon hosts a giveback initiative and invites their schools to help change the world by thinking of others. The 2015-16 giveback is The Great Shoe Takeoff! Fulton Elementary classrooms will help send shoes from America to people across the world who need shoes.

Why Shoes?

There are people all around the world who don’t have shoes. But here in America we have TONS of shoes, especially ones we’ve outgrown. Instead of throwing our gently-worn shoes away, what if we gave them to someone in need? Shoes mean comfort, but in other countries, shoes can also mean education and jobs. Many people simply don’t have the right shoes to open the right doors.

The Challenge

The challenge is the cost of shipping thousands of those shoes to new owners far away—it isn’t cheap. That’s where The Great Shoe Takeoff steps in.

How Fulton Elementary Can Help

For every $30 per lap a class reaches during the Fulton Fun Run program, we’re teaming up with non-profit delivery partners who will fly a pair of shoes to meet a new owner in another country, and Boosterthon will pay for their one-way trip. Boosterthon's goal is to send 60,000 pairs shoes overseas to make 60,000 people a little happier.

2015 Winter Coat Drive

Warm your heart this season by helping to warm someone else in need!

Help the people in our area by donating much needed coats, mittens, hats, and gloves during the 2015 Winter Coat Drive. Please donate gently used and cleaned items only. There are lots of people throughout our county that would really benefit from your kind donation.
Please bring your donations to the lobby at Fulton Elementary and drop them in the coat collection box by Monday, October 19th.
Thanks for giving the gift of warmth to those in need!

2015-2016 FES Student Directory

There is only a few weeks left to have your information included in the 2015-2016 FES Student Directory. The directory lists family contact information for students at Fulton Elementary School. It is a great resource for communicating with other parents. This year the information is being submitted through your student's Family File Emergency Contact Form. Please submit your contact information by September 30th. This is the only way to have information included in the directory. We will not be using paper forms this year. Please contact Sherry Harms with any questions.
