Notes From the President

Welcome back Fulton Elementary Families! With three weeks under our belt already, we are in full swing! Please check out the Fulton Fall Festival Flyer that has come home with your student. Order your tickets and wristbands now! Please use the Sign-Up Genius link to volunteer 45 minutes of your time to help make our Fall Festival a success! We cannot have this event without parent help.

Please join us on September 22nd at Kloby's Smokehouse for Spirit Night/ Dine Out night. Support FES PTA and enjoy a night out of food and fun! A portion of all receipts come back to FES PTA. Look for the flyer in your child's Friday folder and bring it to the restaurant.

We also have Passive Fundraising Opportunities at FES. Look for the flyer in the Friday Folder for details.

We are always looking for volunteers! Why volunteer? Your child loves to see their parents help out at school! You will get to know the teachers and staff! You get to see the day-to-day activity of your child! It makes you feel good! We are looking for volunteers to help with the following positions:
  • Executive Board:  Treasurer- Hope Ripkin, will be finishing her term in 2016. We are looking for a parent to shadow her this year, and get an idea what she does. The term is two years. We also have the President, Vice President (1 spot) open, these positions are two years as well.
  • Spirit Night Chairperson:  This person is responsible for coordinating one Spirit Night/Dine Out Night per month. Most of the Spirit Nights are already scheduled for this year. The chairperson would confirm the schedule and arrange for fliers to go home.
  • Sign Changer:  We need someone to change the sign out front on Hwy 216 when needed. It could be once or twice a month. This position runs until June.
Please email me, if you are interested in volunteering for any of these positions.

We have an exciting year ahead. Get involved and see how amazing the Fulton Elementary School community is. Thank you for supporting the Fulton Elementary School PTA!

The evening features a rock wall, obstacle course, cake walk, carnival games, great food from Absolutely Perfect Catering, Kona Ice, Sandy Candy, face painting, and much more. Save money by purchasing wristbands and tickets ahead of time. The last day to send in pre-event ticket orders is Wednesday, September 16th.

Volunteers are still needed for many positions. Please use the Sign-Up Genius link to volunteer.

2015-2016 FES Student Directory

The FES PTA is currently collecting information to be used in the 2015-2016 FES Student Directory. The directory lists family contact information for students at Fulton Elementary School. It is a great resource for communicating with other parents. This year the information is being submitted through your student's Family File Emergency Contact Form. Please submit your contact information by September 30th. This is the only way to have information included in the directory. We will not be using paper forms this year. Please contact Sherry Harms with any questions.

Membership

There is still time to join the Fulton Elementary PTA. The annual PTA membership is $20 per family. Please visit our website for the membership form or to pay directly via PayPal.

Every Kid in a Park

Marvel at the St. Louis Arch, the Florida Keys, and the Frederick Douglass house. Listen to wolves howl. Walk in dinosaur tracks. Look up into the inky night sky, and reach for the stars! These sites belong to all of us — including you. President Barack Obama created Every Kid in a Park so fourth graders and their families could discover our wildlife, resources, and history for free.
