5th Grade End-of-the-Year Parent Committee

We know it’s hard to believe, but with just about 4 months of school left, it is time to start planning for the end of the year activities. Some of the end-of-the-year events are the promotion ceremony, the end of the year fifth grade party, and the teachers vs. students kickball game. We would like to put together a parent committee to help us plan these special events. If you are interested in being part of this committee, please send Ms. Williams an email with your name, email address, and the name of your child’s homeroom teacher.

Girls on the Run

Girls on the Run® is coming back this spring for another amazing season! Registration opens Sunday, February 22 at noon.

Girls on the Run® is a life-changing, experiential learning program for girls in third to eighth grade. The programs combine training for a 5k (3.1 mile) running event with self-esteem enhancing, uplifting workouts. The goals of the programs are to encourage positive emotional, social, mental, spiritual, and physical development. The lessons promote self-challenge instead of competition; self-worth instead of societal worth; and cooperation instead of rivalry. Our mission is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum, which creatively integrates running. The girls will meet after-school twice a week for approximately 10 weeks with the season ending tentative 5k date on May 30th. Starting the week of March 15th, the girls at Fulton Elementary School will meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.

To register your daughter, go to and click on register! If you have any questions please visit the website above or contact Fulton Elementary’s head coach, Katie Howell.
