Wednesday Meet & Greet Followed by SVA Meeting:
On Wednesday, Jan 18th from 4:15-5:15 we’ll be hosting our Spring Meet and Greet. Swing by the SVRC (RM 481 Tate), say hello to our new arrivals, meet some old friends and share in great Taziki’s food.
Immediately following the Meet and Greet, the Student Veterans Association will hold their monthly meeting in the lounge (Tate 484).
There are only ten days left to apply for our Spring 2017 Scholarships.
NOTE: All applications are reviewed by a board composed of veterans and/or military-affiliated members. The deadline is midnight, 23 January.
Pre-Health Advising Office (PHAO):
PHAO welcomes all student veterans interested in pursuing a career in healthcare. PHAO guides/assists students in planning for and applying to healthcare schools—including those in medicine, dentistry, optometry, nursing, and allied-health (PA, PT, OT, etc.). Some upcoming events from their on-line calendar include:
- Transfer Pre-Health Orientation: February 3rd from 9:00-1100 (MLC 350)
- Mercer School of Medicine Visit: February 9th from 5:00-7:00 (MLC 213)
- Health Professions Fair: March 14 from 11:00-3:00 (TATE Ballroom)

UGA Career and Internship Fair:
The Spring Career & Internship Fair is scheduled for Wednesday, February 1 from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Classic Center located in downtown Athens.

In addition to the above Career Center workshops, PIVET has agreed to provide a short Career Fair Strategies workshop on 19 Jan from 4:15-5:30 in the Lounge (484 Tate) followed by a Walk-in Resume Review on 25 Jan from 4:00-5:15 in the SVRC (481 Tate).
