Student Veterans of America (SVA) CEO Visits UGA:

Jared Lyon, the SVA CEO, oversees over 1300 national SVA Chapter affiliates, numerous non-profits and private partners and an ever-increasing number of impactful programs, which we actively leverage at UGA to include the new SVA Job Board.

Over Spring Break, Jared visited UGA to meet with our outgoing AY 2016-17 SVA Leadership Team and recently elected 2017-18 team.  Over a four-hour period, the group discussed a wide number of topics that shape veterans’ success at UGA and beyond.
  • To learn more contact Kyle McReynolds (2016-17 SVA President) or attend the next SVA meeting scheduled for April 5th.

Oral History Initiative:

In partnership with the UGA Special Collections Library, the SVRC is launching an Oral History Initiative.
Oral histories serve to capture historic information about individuals or events using audio recordings. The audience for such an initiative is generally the researcher who 100 years from now may seek to understand the mindset of a veteran who joined in wartime, served, and then left the service to pursue higher education.
  • If you are interested in learning more or want to participate in this project, please contact the SVRC

March 14th Pre-Calculus Mid-Term Study Session:
