Student veterans, please follow the new Student Veterans Association (SVA) Group Me page to receive current information about activities such as monthly meetings starting in April and much more. LinkedIn is another way to contact SVA and stay engaged as well. In addition to social and professional benefits, being an SVA member or officer is a great resume builder and an opportunity to build a network to assist you for life.

Veteran Discounts Available Year Round

The VA has created a list of Veteran and military discounts that are good all year round. These discounts are being shared so that Veterans, military members, their families, caregivers and survivors are aware of all resources available to them. Click here for the link from the VA.

How to Answer the Question: Where Do You See Yourself in Five Years

When a hiring manager asks you this question, there may be a few things running through your brain. “Moving (way) up the ranks,” “running this place,” “working for myself,” or “in your job,” for example. None of these responses are necessarily things you should say out loud in an interview.

So, how do you answer the question? Watch a quick video (or read the transcript) to find out how to share your goals and ambitions the right way. Click here.
