December Graduation - Honor Cords

If you are graduating this December and still need your Red, White and Blue Honor Cord, please email us here by Wednesday December 1.  This will allow time for us to prepare the appropriate letters and package your Honor Cord for the occasion.  Information for Spring 2022 Honor Cords will be sent after the first of the year.

Writing Center Research Participant Request

Kensie Poor, third-year UGA PhD student, seeks student veterans to participate in a research study.  Kensie works in the Writing Center at the University of Georgia and would like to invite any student veterans at UGA to participate in her preliminary research study through a brief Zoom interview. Kensie’s goal is to better understand student veterans' experiences with writing, whether in writing centers or the classroom. The interview should take approximately 30 minutes.

Any interested students can contact Kensie directly at this email, kpoor@uga.edu, to schedule a convenient time to meet via Zoom. Each interview should only take about 30 minutes.
New VA Monthly Verification Requirement

As you have seen in emails and newsletters from the VA, the Department of Veterans Affairs  is implementing a monthly enrollment verification requirement for Post-9/11 GI Bill® Students. Students must verify their enrollment at the end of each month and those who fail to verify their enrollment for two consecutive months will have their Monthly Housing Allowance (MHA) and kicker payments put on hold.
