As more information becomes available, we'll pass it along through the newsletter.

Pre-calculus Test Review:

For student veterans, reservists, and national guard members who would like to participate in a pre-calculus review before each of your three tests, we have just the thing for you.

Dr. Kel Black (Mathematics Professor and Army Veteran) will hold a math review in Boyd 302 before each test on the dates below.
  • 16 September @ 5:00 p.m.
  • 9 October @ 5:00 p.m.
  • 18 November @ 5:00 p.m.
If you are interested in attending, please e-mail SVRC@uga.edu so we can let Dr. Black know.

Federal Work Study (FWS):

In partnership with OSFA, we are looking to connect student veterans with available FWS positions. There are currently about 75 positions which remain unfilled in a number of fields ranging from science to admin to finance.

If you have a current FAFSA and are interested in learning more, contact Mandy Brooks.

Questions about your FAFSA Award:

If you recently updated your FAFSA and have questions about the level of aid you qualified for, we have a senior liaison in OSFA whom you can speak to.

For example, if you earned income in your last year of service that is skewing your FAFSA results, you may be entitled to complete a Professional Judgement through OSFA in order to get your FAFSA recalculated.

For more information please email SVRC@uga.edu
