UGA Vets Heading to DC:

This summer we have student vets not only enrolled in school, but also studying aboard and pursuing a number of internships across the nation.  Additionally, we have four student vets (Kyle {Business}, Maria {Anthropology}, Jesus {Health Promotions} and Ryan {Political Science}) heading to DC on Sunday to take part in the US Global Leadership Coalition State Leaders Summit.  While  in DC, they will engage with senior policymakers and meet with members of Congress.
This is the second year that the USGLC has funded UGA’s participation in this national summit.  We may possibly be able to wrangle one more spot on this almost all-expense paid representational trip to DC (12-14 June trip).  If interested, please contact the SVRC soonest.

University Health Center (UHC) Healthy Veteran Discounts:

If you paid your university health fee, which the 9/11 VA Benefit generally pays, you get free primary care visits at the University Health Center (UHC) and access to a range of fee-based specialty clinics.

To encourage your engagement with the UGA Health Center, last year the UHC and SVRC partnered to establish the Healthy Vet Program
  • What the Program Offers:  Heavily discounted rates at UHC’s specialty clinics (e.g. eye, dental).
  • June Special:  50% off dental exams and cleaning for student veterans.

To determine who your school’s Career Consultant is click here. Additionally, the Career Center’s Veteran’s Liaison is Lisa Mann. If interested, we’ll connect you with Lisa and our SVRC Terry Business College Liaison to give your resume and Linked-In account a good once over before the Fair.

Atlanta All-Veterans Job Fair:
