SVRC Organizational Quick Looks
Remember to sign up for our Fall 2021 Organizational Quick Looks. These discussions with corporate leaders provide our undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to become more familiar with potential employers and/or follow-on academic opportunities. The first one is with Cox Communications (September 15 on Zoom) and the second one is with Fiserv (September 16 in Room 482 Tate Student Center).

UGA Student Veterans Association (SVA) Gathering
The September SVA gathering is scheduled as follows:
- When: Wednesday, September 22, 6:30 p.m.
- Where: The Waffle House, Downtown Athens, 140 West Clayton St.
- What: Breakfast Menu and Soft Drinks
- Why: Student veteran networking and upcoming initiatives

Military Appreciation Game Day Picture Submission
UGA will honor student veterans in conjunction with Veterans Week by showing their photos on the Jumbotron in Sanford Stadium at the UGA v. Charleston Southern game on November 20. SVRC will also create a special Veterans Week display that will hang on the Art Wall on the third floor of the Tate Student Center for the entire month of November. Please send us your photo in uniform so we can recognize you by following the link below.
NOTE: If you submit a photo for this event, you will automatically be entered in a drawing to receive either a football or piece of art autographed by Head Coach Kirby Smart. This year's drawing will be held during our Veterans Week Reception on November 9 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in the Tate Student Center Grand Hall.
The deadline for submission is midnight (EST) on Monday, October 4.

Update on Military Appreciation Game Day Tickets
We continue to work closely with the UGA Athletic Association in an effort to secure a number of free tickets for our veterans and their families to attend the UGA v. Charleston Southern game on November 20.
As more information becomes available, we'll pass it on through the newsletter.

Volunteers Needed for Veterans Day Flag Placement
For the ninth consecutive year, the Student Veterans Association (SVA) will be placing more than 700 American flags at the UGA Memorial Garden adjacent to the Miller Learning Center in honor of Georgia's 700,000 living veterans. We are seeking assistance from any student veterans who are willing to help. The flags will be placed on the morning of Wednesday, November 10 and remain until November 12.
Please sign up to volunteer by midnight (EST) on Friday, November 5.

This year, the UGA Fall Career and Internship Fair will be held both in person and virtually. Here are the details:

- Time: Noon-5:00 p.m. EST

VIRTUAL
- When: Wednesday, October 13
- Time: Noon-5:00 p.m. EST
- Where: Handshake (online)
