Weekly Message

Dear St. Luke Community,

Perhaps this heat wave is offering us another reminder to stop, breathe, and relax.  And I hope you are finding time to rest and reflect this week on where God is calling you this upcoming season.  There are a few opportunities to connect with the church family, as well as give back to the local community and volunteer with San Pedro School.  Please take a look at the entirety of this email to see what events pique your interest.  And if you have any questions feel free to ask.

This week’s passage, Luke 15:1-10, is easier to hear than what Jesus had to say last week… or at least it appears that way on the surface.  Jesus’ parables of the lost sheep and the lost coin may be familiar to you.  They are for me, so often growing up I connected with that lost sheep and was overjoyed when God found me, yet what about the other 99 sheep?  How might they feel about this parable?  Join us Sunday as we look at this parable from another perspective.

As always, I would love to join you for a cup of tea or a walk along the bay, so please reach out to me via email at or phone at 831.207.7356 to set up a time.

Peace be with you,
