Congratulations Diocesan 2015 CCHD Multi-Media Youth Arts Contest Winners
The Office of Advocacy and Justice is pleased to announce the diocesan winners of the 2015 CCHD Multi-Media Youth Arts Contest. Our First Place winners are now competing at the national level with the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) in Washington, DC. Judging results for the national contest should be available within the next few weeks.
Please place the 2016 CCHD Multi-Media Youth Arts contest on your calendar (deadline March 1, 2016). Our office staff members are available to meet with teachers over the summer or during the school year to explain the guidelines and goals of this program. See more at the CCHD website. The contest is open to ALL middle and high school diocesan youth. Entries can be made through our Catholic Schools, Parish Faith Formation Programs, Parish Youth Groups, and Diocesan Homeschool Groups.
Thank you to all the students and schools who participated in this project to understand the issues of poverty and justice in the light of our faith.

The Alliance for Fair Food & Student/Farmworker Alliance Are Hiring
The Alliance for Fair Food (AFF) and the Student/Farmworker Alliance (SFA) are seeking 1-2 Immokalee-based staff members to help coordinate the national Campaign for Fair Food. Staff members are compensated with a modest, livable salary with health benefits. A commitment of at least two years and proficiency in English/Spanish are required.

Intern Position
The ally team is seeking 1-2 summer interns. Interns should be flexible to organize with a diverse array of Fair Food allies including but not limited to students and youth, communities of faith, and food justice organizations. Responsibilities include development of campaign strategy together with CIW and other allies, regular communication with the Fair Food network, office assistance, and on-the-ground support for members of the Immokalee community.
A minimum commitment of 3-5 months is preferred; start date is flexible. Interns receive free housing and a modest monthly stipend.
